Loscil is the electronic project of Canadian composer and multimedia artist Scott Morgan.
For over two decades, Morgan has cultivated a rich catalog of ambient, classical, and electroacoustic works under the Loscil moniker. Most of his albums, including 2021’s Clara,
have been released on the esteemed American label Kranky.

Morgan’s key releases include Plume, Endless Falls, Sea Island, and Monument Builders. He has also collaborated with artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Murcof/Vanessa Wagner, bvdub, Sarah Neufeld, Daniel Bejar, Rachel Grimes, and Lawrence English.

In 2017, Morgan formed the duo High Plains with cellist Mark Bridges, releasing Cinderland on Kranky. His compositions have featured in acclaimed documentaries like The Corporation, Damnation, and We Are Witnesses, as well as contemporary dance productions. His 2022 double album The Sails compiles nearly a decade of collaborations with choreographers.

Morgan’s music has been used in games such as Osmos, Hundreds, and Lifelike, and he created the generative music app ADRIFT in 2015. He has performed at international festivals including Mutek, Le Guess Who?, LEV, and Big Ears. Morgan is based in Vancouver, BC, on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples.
